Why Atlantic Pool and Spas Exists

Rafael Contreras spent years building pools for some of Sacramento’s largest companies before he ever put his own name on a truck. He learned the trade from the ground up — excavation, gunite, plumbing, plaster — working on more backyards than he can count.

Atlantic Pool and Spas started in 2007, built on a simple idea: families deserve a pool builder who shows up personally, not a sales office that hands your project off to whoever’s available that week. Rafael became a licensed contractor so Sacramento homeowners could get the same craftsmanship he’d spent years perfecting for other companies, without the markup, and without losing the personal touch along the way.

Today, Atlantic Pool and Spas is still a family business. Rafael built it with his daughters in mind, not just as a paycheck, but as something worth handing down.
